Two Decades of Growth
From a small warung in Janda Baik to a registered enterprise with 24.9 acres of coffee plantation — every milestone tells a story of perseverance and passion.
Warung Pak Long Cafe Opens in Janda Baik
En. Nordin and Pn. Semidah establish a humble warung in the village of Janda Baik, Pahang — serving the local community and laying the foundation for what would become NASM Venture.
Coffee Cultivation Begins
On the advice of a trusted cousin, En. Nordin begins exploring coffee cultivation — planting the first seeds of what would become a thriving coffee plantation in the highlands of Janda Baik.
Early Challenges & Setbacks
The early years of coffee farming were met with setbacks due to limited expertise and the lack of formal coffee cultivation training in Malaysia. These challenges became invaluable lessons that shaped the company’s resilience.
Arabica, Liberica & Robusta Planted
With guidance from an experienced coffee farmer from Jambi, Indonesia, the plantation successfully begins cultivating three premium coffee varieties — Arabica, Liberica, and Robusta — marking a turning point in the company’s agricultural journey.
Restoran Kopi Ladang Established
Warung Pak Long Cafe is rebranded as Restoran Kopi Ladang — a significant step that reflects the company’s growing identity as a coffee-centric enterprise, connecting the plantation directly to the customer experience.
RISDA Grant — Plantation Expands to 0.25 Acres
RISDA (Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority) recognises the plantation’s potential and provides financial assistance, enabling the expansion of the coffee farm to 0.25 acres — the first major external endorsement of the business.
Jabatan Pertanian Grants 1-Acre Land Lease
The Department of Agriculture (Jabatan Pertanian) takes notice of the plantation’s progress and awards a 1-acre land lease — a pivotal moment that validates the company’s agricultural commitment and opens doors for further expansion.
NASM Venture Sdn Bhd Incorporated
Kopi Ladang is formally incorporated under the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) as NASM Venture Sdn Bhd — officially establishing the business as a registered corporate entity and setting the stage for structured growth.
Additional 5-Acre Lease Approved
NASM Venture applies for and receives approval for an additional 5-acre agricultural land lease, bringing total managed land to 6 acres — a significant expansion that signals the company’s growing capacity and ambition.
Restaurant Renovation Phase 1 — 406.8 m²
The first major restaurant renovation begins, transforming the dining space into a modern double-volume facility measuring 11.3m × 18m (203.4 m² ground floor, 406.8 m² total). This upgrade significantly enhances the customer dining experience.
Further 5-Acre Lease — Total Reaches 10 Acres
Driven by increasing demand for NASM Venture’s coffee beans, a further 5-acre agricultural lease is secured from Jabatan Pertanian — bringing total managed land to 10 acres and reinforcing the company’s position as a serious commercial coffee producer.
Restaurant Expansion Phase 2 — Total 692.4 m²
A second renovation phase adds 17m × 8.4m of double-volume space (142.8 m² ground floor, 285.6 m² total) — bringing the combined restaurant area to 692.4 m². The expanded facility now accommodates over 10,000 customers per week.
14.9-Acre Lease Approved — Total Land: 24.9 Acres
In December 2025, NASM Venture receives approval for the remaining 14.9-acre agricultural land lease — bringing total managed land to 24.9 acres. With 15 acres currently planted and 9.9 acres in development, the company is poised for its most ambitious phase of growth yet.
